Tanya is no ordinary girl .... She can see fairies. But not the fairies we imagine. Evil fairies who cast spells on her, rousing her from her sleep and propelling her out of bed. At wit’s end with her daughter’s unusual behavior, Tanya’s mother sends her to Elvesden Manor, her grandmother’s secluded countyside estate. Fifty years ago a girl vanished in the wood surrounding the mansion, and as Tanya learns more about the mystery, she find herself dangerously close to vanishing into the fairy realm forever.

In a wood of secrets whispered only by the trees,
The tale nof a missing girl began one midsummer’s eve.
Her eys were the color of midnight; her skin was pale as the moon,
Her hair was black as a Raven’s wing; her name was Morwena Bloom.
Though warned, she played a dangerous game and walked the woods alone,
So came the eve she disappeared, never to come home.
The forest held few answer, for all taht was found there,
Was a single braided lock of Morwenna’s long, black hair.
Ten years and four was she the day she vanished with no trace,
As weeks stretched into months, the townfolk soon forget her face.
Some said the girl had perished, having fallen to her doom,
Like others who had died below in the winding, murky gloom.
Some said that she run away to seek a better life,
Some thought she had been killed by he who sought her as his wife.
As truth got lost in legend, it was clear for all to see,
Morwena the Reverend’s daughter was a fading memory.
Now most do not remember – thought those who have the sight,
Avoid the path the doomed girl walked that warm midsummer night.
For in the woods where foxgloves sway and shadows softly loom,
It’s said Morwenna roams still, dansing to the fairies tune.
